[Tutorial] Writing a DMP with DMP OPIDoR using Horizon Europe DMP Tempalte

DMP OPIDoR: the main menu

DMP OPIDoR is an online platform designed to help researchers write structured, funder-compliant Data Management Plans.

It is widely used in France and supports:

The tool guides you section by section, helps you structure your answers, and allows collaboration.

First, we are on the DMP OPIDoR homepage.

At the top, you have the main menu.

‘My Plans’ is where you will find all your DMPs.

‘Help’ gives you access to some ressources.

‘Plans & Templates’ it’s where you can explore:

Finally, the ‘Learn More’ section gives you additional information about the platform and data management.

You will find:

Click on MY PLANS, then click CREATE PLAN.

Create new plan 

You now have two options:

1️⃣ Create a new plan
2️⃣ Import an existing plan”

Create new plan means:
You start from a template proposed in OPIDoR.

Import existing plan means:
You already have a structured DMP file (JSON format) and want to reuse it.

For most of you, we will choose Create new plan.
